Option 1: Preferred Caterers
Our preferred caterers have years of catering experience and we make sure the catering process is easy. Clients will work directly with the preferred caterer to choose a menu or customize your catered meals and breaks. The caterer will invoice all clients directly; clients should review all delivery charges with caterers. Conference Services office will oversee the set-up and break-down with the preferred caterers, so clients should have no issues once a menu has been decided and dates and times are confirmed.
Clients may arrange for a cocktail reception following a training event with prior approval through the Conference Services office. Preferred caterers provide the TIPS/RAMP certified bartender and will work with clients to create an event to achieve the networking environment planned for a dedicated space.
Option 2: Outside Caterer
Clients may request approval to use an outside caterer (a caterer NOT on our Preferred Caterer list). Request must be made two (2) weeks in advance of event to provide sufficient time to process the liability insurance documentation through our University Risk Management office. If outside caterer is approved, the client will incur a surcharge (20% of client’s conference center event total) to be added to the client’s conference center invoice issued from Penn State at the Navy Yard. Outside caterer must provide the University with the appropriate Liability Insurance to University Risk Management office.
