Penn State at the Navy Yard is a cross-University collaboration of academic, research, and outreach-based efforts designed to educate, engage, and inspire the Philadelphia area and beyond.
Underway since 2005, Penn State at the Navy Yard has focused on building energy efficiency and efficient energy management, with significant support from the U.S. Department of Energy and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A central feature of The Navy Yard is the Smart Energy Campus aimed at making the facility and the Greater Philadelphia region a global headquarters for clean energy technology and policy.
To meet the needs and goals of area professionals, Penn State Great Valley in Malvern extends their academic programming to the Navy Yard. Master's degrees, graduate certificates, and professional development programs relevant to today's workplace are offered in a flexible format that allows for the demands of work, family, and life in general. Coursework taught by renowned faculty combines research, theory, and hands-on experience to sharpen technical acumen, cultivate management skills, and build future leaders.
