Penn State is seeking internship sponsors for a unique summer program at the Navy Yard that couples courses in sustainable energy systems including field trips and guest speakers with internship positions. Student applicants are hungry for experience and passionate about energy and sustainability solutions.
Companies focusing in the following areas would benefit from this program:
- Distributed energy systems
- Building energy efficiency
- Renewable energy
- Energy management
- Facilities management
- Combined heat and power
- Microgrid applications
Commitment
Internships will be a part-time commitment that includes approximately 300 hours of work from May 13–August 7, 2019. Students will typically work Monday–Friday from 8 a.m.–2 p.m. and are provided a wage with the rate at the discretion of the participating company.
